Pre-launch your event
Pre-launch puts your event page live but lets people register interest instead of buying. Use it to test demand before tickets go on sale.
Where to find it: Step 4 → Pre-launch mode
How to do it
- Create your ticket categories in Tickets first.
- In Payments & go live, under Pre-launch, turn on Pre-launch mode.
- Optional: in Interest threshold, enter how many people must register interest, for example 200.
- Turn on Open sales at the threshold if you want tickets to go on sale automatically once that many people have registered.
- Publish your event.
Threshold or not
| If you… | Sales open |
|---|---|
| Set a threshold and turn on Open sales at the threshold | Automatically, when the threshold is reached |
| Set no threshold, or leave it off | Only when you open them yourself |
You can open or close sales at any time, whether the threshold is reached or not. When your event goes live or is cancelled, we email everyone who registered interest.
Tip: follow sign-ups and see who went on to buy in Pre-launch: interest vs buyers.
