Connect Stripe as a charity, society or club
Charities, societies, clubs and associations connect with their UEN, and a registered office bearer represents the account. Stripe checks your office bearers against charities.gov.sg or the Registry of Societies, so update your listing there first if it's out of date.
Where to find it: Connect Stripe → UEN
How to do it
- Click Connect Stripe, select your country of operation and enter your UEN. Stripe lists you as "Charity, non-profit, club, society or other unincorporated…": that's the right category.
- The account representative verifies their identity with Singpass. They must be a registered office bearer, such as President, Secretary, Treasurer or Chairman. If not, you need a Letter of Authority.
- Enter your principal officers (President, Secretary, Treasurer and key executives), not every committee member.
- Upload one proof document that lists your office bearers, and add your bank account details.
Which proof document
| Document | Good to know |
|---|---|
| Letter of Certified Attestation | Stripe's recommended option. Signed by a lawyer, accountant or auditor with Singapore credentials. |
| Notarised constitution or meeting minutes | Must name your current office bearers. Many constitutions don't. |
| Government document | For example your latest Annual Return from the Registry of Societies, dated within 12 months. |
