Refund or cancel a ticket yourself
You can refund a paid ticket or cancel a free one yourself, without waiting for a request. Platform fees are non-refundable: you absorb them or deduct them from the attendee's refund.
Where to find it: Tickets tab → ⋮ → Refund Ticket
How to do it
- In the event dashboard, open Overview and click the Tickets tab.
- Click ⋮ on the ticket's row, then Refund Ticket for a paid ticket or Cancel Ticket for a free one.
- In Issue Refund, check the ticket price, what the customer paid and the platform fees.
- Under Platform Fees, choose whether you cover the fees and issue a full refund, or refund the customer minus the platform fee. Then click Next and confirm.
Stripe's fees are never returned: you bear them either way.
The attendee is emailed automatically: a refund email telling them the money reaches them in 7–10 days, or, for a free ticket, an email saying the organiser cancelled it.
Tip: to refund several tickets in one order at once, see Update, refund or cancel several tickets in an order.
